Cable Railing with Powder-Coated Aluminum Posts & Continuous Top Rails
The ORION System features a powder-coated aluminum framework combined with horizontal stainless steel cable infill. The framework is made up of 3” x 3” posts, optional bottom rail and a flat, continuous top rail. The cable infill consists of HandiSwage™ fittings and 1/8” cable. The straight and stair rail kits are available in 6’ lengths and include a top rail, bottom rail (included with ORION II System), pre-drilled stabilizer, support block assembly and connectors. Post kits come pre-drilled for 3” cable spacing in heights of 36” or 42”.
ORION Specifications
The simple design of the ORION top rail allows installers to handle a variety of rail transitions using a small set of adaptive rail fittings and common installation tools. The ORION System is offered in a matte textured powder-coat finish of black, bronze and white. Atlantis touch-up paint is also available in these colors and finish to fix any scratches that may occur during installation. CLICK HERE to view color chart.
SPECIFICATIONS
Straight Sections
The ORION System is offered in a standard post height of 36″ or 42″ for straight sections.
Stair Sections
Railing heights are offered in these dimensions due to nationwide building codes requiring 34″ to 38″ stair rail heights. 42″ railings do not require 42″ stair railings unless special circumstances exist.
Between Posts Length
The ORION System is offered in 6′ rail sections utilizing a cable stabilizer.
Railing Finish
The ORION System is offered in powder-coated black, white or bronze finishes. CLICK HERE to view color chart.
Cable Spacing
The cable is spaced on posts at 2-3/4″ on-center to comply with nationwide building codes.
